Virtues of Fear

When I swerve from reality, you deliver a hard knock,
Reminding me to stay grounded.

In reckless indulgence, you stand as a grim reminder,
Guiding me back to moderation.

When arrogance takes hold, you reveal my limitations,
Keeping me humble and aware.

If I mock another, fear points its finger at me,
Teaching empathy and understanding.

In aimless drifting, you redirect me to reality's path,
Restoring my focus and purpose.

Amid life's relentless currents, you become a stone wall,
Halting me when I need protection.

You are not the evil I once thought;
Your virtues safeguard and guide me.

  1. Your Reflections on Fear is wonderful.Literally it touched all important aspects of life.But for fear,human life could have gone astray in many ways.Fear literally brings us to reality and stay grounded.People think a while before doing something,understand the pros and cons of doing that activity.Sometimes fear could even save us from disasters.
    Nicely written.
    Congratulations.
