Too heavy

 Too heavy

Heaviness descends, a ton of steel,

Crushing my soul, leaving only sighs.

Regrets and dull pain, a relentless sea,

Memories lapping at my feet.

A present tense, fraught with futility.

Wisdom guides me to absorb the pain,

But the fact remains, an unyielding strain.
